The aftermarket encompasses all non-warranty replacement parts installed after the dealer sells the vehicle. Automotive parts are integral to the complete vehicle assembly and play a crucial role in the aftermarket, which focuses on vehicle service, maintenance, and repair activities. Additionally, the aftermarket covers OE parts and IAM parts, which are related to factory-installed parts procured from OEMs. Independent parts manufacturers sell IAM parts to warehouse distributors, retailers, and other distribution channels throughout the aftermarket.
