A fire-resistant cable is a cable that maintains safe operation for a certain period under flame-burning conditions during a fire. Fire-resistant cables are chiefly used in high-rise buildings, subways, shopping malls, power stations and important industrial and mining enterprises for fire safety and fire rescue. Fire-resistant cables have a heat barrier wrapped around the conducting wires and insulation.
